Mary Mannion, 73, Of Yonkers, Educator, NYC School System

YONKERS, N.Y. - Mary "Pat" Mannion of Yonkers died Nov. 18. She was 73.

Mannion was born April 26, 1941, to Patrick and Catherine (nee Fleming) Mannion. She was an educator in the New York City School System for over 17 years and was an officer of the American Irish Teachers Association, as well as the treasurer of the American Irish of Westchester for many years. She was a lector at St. Paul the Apostle Church, where she also taught CCD. Pat was also the financial secretary at the former J.J. Mannion's Restaurant in Yonkers.

Mannion is survived by her sister, Geri Fennell (Bill); brother, Jim (Mary); nephews and niece; great nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents.

Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 21 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m at F. Ruggiero & Sons, Inc., 732 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY 10704 (914) 375-1400. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 at St. Paul the Apostle Church with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mannion's memory to the Marfan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050.
