Mary Louise Broderick, 90, Former Yonkers Resident

POINT LOOKOUT, N.Y. - Mary Louise Broderick (nee Rosini), formerly of Yonkers, died March 19. She was 90.

Broderick was born Aug. 15, 1923, in Shamokin, Pa., the daughter of Anthony and Louisa (Santilli) Rosini. She graduated from St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing in New York City. She then worked as a registered nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital. She resided in Yonkers until 1979 and, thereafter, was a resident of Hastings-on-Hudson and then Point Lookout.

Broderick is survived by her children, Mary (Tracy Forrestal), Margaret Shendal, Thomas, Jr. (Joan), John (Susanne Tighe), Anne Cahill (James Jenter), Brian (Laurie), Monica (Richard Guardino), Michael (Amy) and Jean; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas C. Broderick, M.D.; seven brothers; and a sister. Calling hours are Friday, March 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Whalen Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22 at the Monastery Church of the Sacred Heart, 110 Shonnard Place, Yonkers, New York 10703. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
