YONKERS, N.Y. - Mary E. Delaney (Phalen), a lifetime Yonkers resident, died April 5. She was 97.
Delaney attended St. Mary's Grammar School and Commerce HS and was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary's Church.
Delaney is survived by her children, Mary Ann (Richard) Halevy, Michael (Martina) Delaney, Patrick Delaney and Daniel (Marie) Delaney; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Georgie (William) Alesio and Millie Bova; and sister-in-law, Gloria Phalen. She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Delaney; son, William A.; daughter-in-law, Doreen Delaney.
Calling hours are Tuesday, April 8 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 9 at St. Mary's Church. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery.
