She was born Dec. 1, 1938, to James and Anna Kurucz Panzera. After graduating from Commerce High School, she went to work for Otis Elevator for seven years.
Following her employment at Otis Elevator, she worked in the restaurant industry for several years and then became the head receptionist for Lockheed Martin / Loral.
She was the wife of John DeSantis, mother of James, mother-in-law of Cathy, grandmother of Amanda, sister of Connie Petrovich and Linda Tavolacci, and of Mary Ann Brigham, whom she loved like a third sister; and sister-in-law Lorraine Dinanzio.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Flower Funeral Home Inc., 714 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers,
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
