Margaret DeBiase, 88, Formerly Of Yonkers

FISHKILL, N.Y. – Margaret DeBiase, a resident of Hopewell Junction and formerly of Yonkers, died Wednesday, July 20. She was 88.

Born Feb.6, 1928, in Yonkers, she was the daughter of Matthew and Mary Smith Vance.

She was employed as a teacher’s assistant for Yonkers School District for 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Daughters of Scotia and the Order of the Easter Star in Yonkers.

On Dec. 7, 1963, she married Frank DeBiase.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Linda and Bruce Smith of Hopewell Junction, Patricia and Mark Bax of Ithaca and Deborah and David Little of Carlstadt, N..J; granddaughters, Heather, Allison, Katie and Michelle; great-granddaughter, Leighaire McLaughlin; twin brother, Hugh Vance; brother, Andrew Vance and his wife Dolores; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Frank DeBiase.

There will be a celebration of her life at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30 at the Hopewell Reformed Church, 143 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.

Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home Inc.
