TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. - Madeline Trevorah Torhan Trichter of Tarpon Springs, and former 88 year resident of Yonkers, N.Y., died Tuesday, Oct. 21. She was 95.
Trichter was a graduate of the High School of Commerce and went on to retire from the City of Yonkers Department of Housing after 22 years of employment.
Trichter is survived by her daughters, Madeline Patricia Hall (David), of Palm Harbor and Janet Torhan Smith (Dennis), of Palm Harbor; step-daughters, Lynne Trichter Nussbaum (Alan), of Queens, N.Y., and Jane B. Trichter, of New York City, N.Y.; brother, Donald J Trevorah; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary Connolly Trevorah; former husbands, Julius John Torhan and Samuel Harry Trichter; and siblings, Elizabeth Lages, Alice, William, Thomas, Edward and Joseph Trevorah.
Calling hours are Friday, Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, Yonkers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. Saturday Nov. 1 at St. Margaret's of Cortona, Bronx, N.Y., with final committal services at St. Joseph's Cemetery of Yonkers, N.Y.
