YONKERS, N.Y.. -- Laila Fanek, a longtime resident of Yonkers, died surrounded by her family on Monday, April 20.
Fanek was born in 1951 in Jordan.
She is survived by her husband, Ibrahim Fanek; and her children, Samah Abraham, Steven Fanek, Sumer Naber, Sandi Fanek, Lisa Dahdal and Danny Fanek, 11 grandchildren, her brothers, Wadi Sayegh and Suleiman Mejalli; and her sister, Menwah Sayegh.
A funeral service was scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, April 23, at Christ the Savior Melkite Church.
Interment was to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 114 Sprain Road, Yonkers.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Christ the Savior Melkite Church are welcomed.
