Kevin L. Simms, 53, Worked For Barclay’s Bank In Yonkers

Simms was born Oct. 10, 1960, to Jessica Simms and William “Philly Red” Simms. He  graduated from Clark-Atlanta University in Atlanta, Ga., with a B.S. degree in Finance. He was employed by Xerox Corporation, Norwalk, Barclay’s Bank, Yonkers and a myriad of private sector employers.

Simms is survived by his mother, Jessica; siblings, René M. Gibson of Bridgeport, Todd A. Fagan (Teresa) Norwalk, Andre Reynolds (Denise) of Richmond, Calif., Shonda Baskin (Joseph) of Norwalk, Tammy Sanchez (Lewis) of Bridgeport, Jerith T. Scott of Hampton, Va., Jeffery Simms of Tampa, Fla., and Shantelle Danielle Simms of New York, N.Y.; several aunts, uncles; nieces, nephews; cousins; and longtime friend, Morris Rowser of Rockville, Maryland.

There will be a private memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk.
