Julia Irene Messner, 87, Of Yonkers, Worked For Otis Elevator

YONKERS, N.Y. - Julia Irene Messner (nee Jevitzky), a lifelong Yonkers resident, died Friday, July 25. She was 87.

Messner was a graduate of the High School of Commerce and worked at Otis Elevator for many years. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Scarsdale.

Messner is survived by her children, Thomas Messner, Nancy (Thomas) Conti and Leonard Messner; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Messner; and brother, Frank Jevitzky.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 31 at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Messner's memory to Catholic Charities .
