She was born June 5, 1946, in Bogota, Colombia, to the late Augusto and Dolores Ghimenti.
Cangelosi moved to the United States in 1964.
Survivors include three sons, John LaCourte of Yonkers; Frank (Julie) Cangelosi of Armonk; Michael (Brandy) Cangelosi of West Harrison; three brothers, Augusto (Noris) Ghimenti, Enrique (Carmen) Ghimenti, and Guido (Angela) Ghimenti; and six grandchildren.
Her husband, Frank Cangelosi, preceded her in death.
Calling hours will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Whalen and Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave., Yonkers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Church, 740 N. Broadway, Yonkers.
Entombment will follow in the Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale.
