Joseph S. Forlini, 57, Of Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. – Joseph S. Forlini of Yonkers died Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City of pancreatic cancer. He was 57.

Forlini was born April 27, 1958, in Manhattan to Andreina Garbarino and Hugo Forlini. He graduated from SUNY Farmingdale.

He co-owned Forlini's Restaurant at 93 Baxter St. in New York City with two cousins, owned and operated Saw Mill Cleaners and a dry-cleaning delivery service in Yonkers.

Forlini was an active member of the community, working as a basketball coach at St. Bartholomew School and as a Scout leader for Boy Scout troops in Yonkers.

He was predeceased by his father. He is survived by his mother; his wife, Lisa (nee Draghi); four children, Paul and his fiancée Kristen, Stephen, Nicholas and Jennifer; brothers Aldo and Stephen; and sister Caroline Solano; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Cub Scout Pack 338 and Boy Scout Troop 5 are welcomed through the Forlini family, 5 Lennon Ave., Yonkers, NY 10701, along with the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer, 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714.
