YONKERS, N.Y. -- Joseph J. Lapreziosa (Joe the Barber), 88, of Yonkers, died Dec. 29.
Lapreziosa was a self-employed barber with shops on both Radford Street and South Broadway for more than 50 years. After retiring, he was available to cut patients hair at hospitals and nursing homes.
He is survived by his wife Nicoletta Lapreziosa; daughter Josephine (Ronald) Salzarulo; grandson Michael (Jean) Salzarulo, and great-grandchildren Samantha and Nicholas.
He was predeceased by his brother Paul Lapreziosa.
Visiting hours will be from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Sacred Heart Church. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum.
