YONKERS, N.Y. -- Joseph "GaGa" Chirurgi, 66, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died Sunday, Oct. 11.
He was born April 15, 1949 in Yonkers, the son of Enzo and Fannie "Chicky" (Tocco) Chirurgi.
He was employed by the Yonkers Department of Public Works as a laborer.
He is survived by his mother Fannie "Chicky" Chirurgi, wife Sonia (Matias) Chirurgi and children Enzo (Maria) Chirurgi and Krystle Chirurgi. He was the grandfather of four; and brother of Robert (Susan) Chirurgi and Roger (Margherita) Chirurgi. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Enzo and his grandson, Enzo III.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mount Carmel Church, 70 Park Hill Ave.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
