YONKERS, N.Y. - John Joseph Stopko, a resident of Yonkers, died Dec. 6. He was 85.
Stopko was born March 21, 1929, in Yonkers, to Joseph and Anna Somich Stopko.
Stopko is survived by his nieces, Ellen Bohlmann-Hansen of Wingdale, and Barbara Crawford of Lutz, Fla.; nephews, Mark Bohlmann of Enterprise, Ala. and Robert Bohlmann of Mahopac; and four grandnieces. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. at F. Ruggiero & Sons, Inc., 732 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY 10704 - (914) 375-1400. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 10 at Most Holy Trinity Church followed by interment at Oakland Cemetery.
