John J. Fennell, 64, Of Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. – John J. "Jack" Fennell, a lifelong Yonkers resident, died on Wednesday, Aug. 26, of cancer. He was 64.

Fennell was born in Yonkers on March 5, 1951, to John and Margaret (Trehey) Fennell.

He graduated from St. Joseph's High School.

He worked at Con Ed, as a manager for Continental Airlines at the Wilkes- Barre/Scranton Airport and as a beverage manager at Mount Airy Casino in the Poconos.

Fennell was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Kinsella and sister Mary Ellen Scaplehorn.

He is survived by three daughters, Tracy Fennell-Kent and her husband Todd of Jamesburg, N.J.; Chris Ann Moore and her partner Beverly McCreary of Kailua, Hawaii, and Kathy Moore O'Connor and her husband Daniel of Brewster, N.Y.; two sons, John of Boca Raton, Fla., and John and his wife Maureen of Cornwall; brother Daniel of Yonkers, four granddaughters and one grandson.

Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday, from 2 to 6 p.m., with a prayer service set for 5:30 p.m.
