YONKERS, N.Y. – John Egan, 84, of Yonkers, formerly of Kilrush, County Clare, Ireland, died Friday, Oct. 31.
He was the New York state past president of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and worked for Con Edison for more than 40 years.
He was the husband of Katherine (neé Cunnane); father of Ann; Maureen (Michael) McGorty; Kathy (Michael) Connor; Jack (Tawna); and Joseph; and grandfather of seven.
The family will be present from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at F. Ruggiero & Sons, Inc., 732 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at St. Barnabas Church with interment following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
