John Casey, 67, Sales Consultant, Smith Cairns In Yonkers

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - John “Jack” D. Casey III, a resident of White Plains for 67 years, died Wednesday, Nov. 19. He was 67.

Casey was born April 30, 1947, in White Plains, to John D. and Catherine Casey, Jr. He graduated from St. Bernard’s Grammar School in White Plains, Cardinal Farley Military Academy in Rhinebeck, and Belknap College in Center Harbor, N.H. He was a longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Sorrows in White Plains and a member of their Men’s Club, as well as, a 20-year member of Westchester Country Club.

He worked in the automotive industry, beginning at Royal Motors, a family-owned business. Most recently he was employed as a sales consultant at Smith Cairns in Yonkers.

Casey is survived by his children, Christine (Steve) Schulz, Lauren (Eric) Woolf, Shannon Casey, John D. (Sandra) Casey IV and Stephen (Adina) Casey; sisters, Patricia Mullin, Catherine Stevens and Colleen Spor; and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; and wife, Kathleen “Katie”.

Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 21 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home Inc., 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 920 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, with Fr. John Quinn officiating. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W. Stevens Ave., Hawthorne.
