Jennifer Yedowitz-Peifer, 40, Formerly Of Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. – Jennifer A. Yedowitz-Peifer of Easton, Pa., and formerly of Yonkers, died Oct. 3 at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She was 40.

She was born May 6, 1972, in Yonkers to Robert and Carol Gombotz Yedowitz. Raised and educated in Yonkers, Yedowitz-Peifer graduated from Our Lady of Victory High School. She later attended Marymount College in Tarrytown and majored in English.

Yedowitz-Peifer enjoyed jogging and bicycle-riding. On Oct. 29, 1999, she married Guy Peifer at Christ the King Church in Yonkers.

She is survived by her husband; three children, Eric, Kaitlyn and Cole Peifer, all of Easton; her parents of Yonkers; a brother, Robert Yedowitz Jr., of Ossining; and two sisters, Christina Yedowitz, of West Harrison, and Patricia Yedowitz, of Castle Rock, Colo.

Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home in Yonkers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m., Saturday, at St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
