YONKERS, N.Y. - James J. Gagnon of Yonkers died June 22. He was 66.
Gagnon was born Feb. 28, 1948, to Joseph Omer and Kathryn Gagnon, Jr. in Mt. Vernon. He was a graduate of both Blessed Sacrament High School and Iona College in New Rochelle. He worked for the New York City Hospital System for 30 years.
Gagnon is survived by his brother, William Gagnon of Ridgefield, Conn.; brother-in-law, Gary Hartsel; nieces and nephews; cousins; and grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, John G. Gagnon and Joseph Omer Gagnon III; and sister, Annmarie Hartsel.
Calling hours are Wednesday, June 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hawthorne Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 26 at the Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Ridgefield, Conn.
