YONKERS, N.Y. - James Giacomo, Jr. of Yonkers died Tuesday, Feb. 25. He was 79.
Giacomo was born Aug. 2, 1934, in Yonkers, the son of James and Caroline (Campana) Giacomo. He was employed by Local 456 Teamsters.
Giacomo is survived by his wife, Renee (West) Giacomo; children, James (Lisa) Giacomo III and Renee Alexander; brothers, Louis Giacomo and Michael (Cathy) Giacomo; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; and sister, Palma Salterelli.
Calling hours are Friday, Feb. 28 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1 at St. Bartholomew's Church, 15 Palmer Road, Yonkers. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Yonkers.
