YONKERS, N.Y. James Francis Fanning, a lifelong Yonkers resident, died Oct. 21. He was 78.
Fanning attended Yonkers schools and served two years in the Navy. He graduated from Fordham University in the Bronx and worked as a clerk with the Port Authority for many years.
He is survived by two sisters, Ann Popp and Mary Kokoski; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Flynn Memorial Home in Yonkers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:15 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Church in Yonkers.
