YONKERS, N.Y. – Helen (Straus) Jelinek, of Yonkers, died on Monday, July 6 of ALS. She was 66.
She worked at Woolworth's in Cross County.
Jelinek is survived by her husband, Stanley, daughter Helen, son Stanley and his wife,,.,,m Traci, and grandson PeeWee.
Visiting hours will be on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Flynn Memorial Home in Yonkers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Eugene's Roman Catholic Church in Yonkers. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS Association are welcomed.
