YONKERS, N.Y. - Heberto Ruiz of Yonkers died March 7. He was 95.
Ruiz was born Jan. 26, 1919, in Cuba. In 1962, he came to the United States with his family and settled in New York City.
Ruiz is survived by his wife, Delfina; children, Benigna (Dominic) and Herbert (Vicki); nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Mario (June).
Calling hours are Tuesday, March 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, located at 20 Cedar St., in Bronxville. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 12 at St. Joseph's Church in Bronxville, located at 15 Cedar St., in Bronxville (directly across the street from the funeral home), with interment to follow immediately at The Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, New York.
