YONKERS, N.Y. - Francesca LoBue (nee DiPeri), a longtime Yonkers resident, died Friday, Nov. 29. She was 88.
LoBue was born March 27, 1925, in Marineo, Sicily, Italy, to Salvatore and Antoinette DiPeri. She was a longtime parishioner of Mt. Carmel Church and more recently of Christ the King Church.
LoBue is survived by her son, Vincent LoBue of Yonkers; daughters, Grace Moschetta of Yonkers, Antonina Medina of Dunmore, Pa., and Salvina Michel of Gloversville; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Filippo LoBue; and daughter, Mary Young.
Calling hours are Monday, Dec. 2 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 in Mt. Carmel Church. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
