YONKERS, N.Y. – Fay D. Landi (Fanny), a longtime Yonkers resident, died Monday, Feb. 16, after a brief illness. She was 88.
Landi was born in Manhattan on Dec. 24, 1926, to Giuseppe and Raffaela (Mele) D'Elia, moving to Brooklyn as a child.
She married Alphonse A. Landi on Nov. 8, 1958, in Yonkers.
Landi was predeceased by her husband and is survived by her children, Dr. Denise D. Landi and Joseph A. Landi; and grandchildren Connie Nicole and Joseph A. Landi Jr.
Visiting hours are at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave., Thursday Feb. 19, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
There will be a funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church on Friday, Feb. 20, at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Ferncliff Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
