YONKERS, N.Y. – Elizabeth "Betty" Hornyak of Yonkers, died on Wednesday, May 20. She was 69.
Hornyak was born on Sept. 11, 1945 to Albert and Anna Jarosz in Yonkers.
She graduating from the High School of Commerce in Yonkers and worked as an account clerk for Yonkers General Hospital for over 27 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Michael, granddaughter, Olivia, and brother Eugene, and is survived by her daughter, Donna Lopez and her husband David of Hastings-On-Hudson, two grandchildren, Sophia and David, and four sisters, Irene Jopeck, Dorothy Lister, Dolores Joao and Antoinette Bass.
Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Anthony's Church on Saturday, May 23, at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
