YONKERS, N.Y. -- Edward T. Blaikie, a resident of Yonkers, died Friday, Jan. 29. He was 57.
Blaikie was employed as a butcher at Pathmark in Yonkers for 32 years until his retirement in 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Jo-ann De-Julio; his children, Jason Vargas of Yonkers, Diana Aguilar and her husband Adrian of Wappingers Falls, and Shannon Blaikie of Wappingers Falls; his grandchildren, Jason Vargas Jr., Jaelen Vargas, Anthony and Jonathan Aguilar; a great-grandson, Jaden Fernandez ; his sisters, Kathleen Smith of Wappingers Falls, Linda Gurreri of Millbrook, Diane Mee of Pompton Plains, N.J., and Teresa Estremera of Millbrook; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Stuart and Florence Barry Blaikie
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Feb. 2, from 4-8 p.m. at McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to assist the family through Go Fund Me.
