HYDE PARK, N.Y. - Edward R. Baricko, of Hyde Park, formerly of Yonkers, died Monday, July 29. He was 90.
Baricko was born in Yonkers, and attended Gorton High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. After the war, he worked as a police officer with the Yonkers Police Department for over 20 years.
Baricko is survived by his daughter, Maryann (Baricko) Monachelli; a grandchild; many nieces and nephews; and friends from Westchester and Dutchess. He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine T. Baricko (nee Gramata); two brothers; and three sisters.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
