YONKERS, N.Y. - Dorothy P. Pisarchik of Yonkers died April 3. She was 88.
Pisarchik was born in Yonkers, to Nicholas and Katherine Yacawy Warian. She was employed at The Westchester County Dept. of Health before her retirement and a longtime parishioner of St.Mary's Church in Mt. Vernon.
Pisarchik is survived by her children, Patricia Pisarchik and Kathleen (William) Alumba; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Pisarchik; and siblings, Peter Warian, Amelia M. Warian, Mary Wesson, Julia Warian, Rose Hlushko and Helen Tomaszewski.
Calling hours are Sunday, April 6 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Flower Funeral Home, 714 Yonkers Ave.. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, April 7 at St. Mary's Church. Entombment at Mt. Hope.
