Donato DeMatteis, 81, Of Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. - Donato "Danny" DeMatteis of Yonkers died Tuesday, March 18. He was 81.

DeMatteis was born Jan. 12, 1932, in the Bronx, to Pietro and Luigia Saracino DeMatteis. He served during the Korean War. For four decades he worked as a heating professional for the former Cibro Petroleum Company in the Bronx.

DeMatteis is survived by his wife, Eleanor DeMatteis; daughter, Danielle DeMatteis; siblings, Carmela and Anna; nieces; and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary.

Calling hours are Friday, March, 21 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22 at Saint Eugene Church, followed by interment at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla.
