Dolores Harmonay, 91, Of Yonkers, Retired New York Telephone Employee

YONKERS, N.Y. - Dolores Harmonay (nee Cronin) of Yonkers died Tuesday, March 11. She was 91.

Harmonay was born Oct. 8, 1922, to Henry X. and Ellen (Fedor) Cronin in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Commerce High School. She worked as a telephone operator for New York Telephone for over 40 years; retiring in 1985. She was a parishioner of Christ the King Church and a member of the Glee Club.

Harmonay is survived by her children, Michael and Susan Harmonay; sister, Helen Higgins of Bluffton, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Harmonay; brother, Harry Cronin; and sisters, Frances Wixon, Lillian Egan and Marion Wick.

Calling hours are Wednesday, March 19 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 20 at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Church. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
