Constance Sielicki, 88, Yonkers Resident

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Constance "Connie" Sielicki, of Yonkers, died Saturday,  Aug. 22, at age 88.

Sielicki was born on Feb. 6, 1927, to Anthony and Mary Jane (Shea) Carvalho in Raynham, Mass., where she was raised and educated. On Feb. 6, 1949, she married Walter Sielicki at St. Elizabeth Church in Linden, N.J.

She was the supervisor of the food service department for the Yonkers Board of Education for more than30 years. She previously worked as a dietitian at St. John's Hospital in Yonkers.

She was a parishioner of Christ the King Church and a member of the Yonkers Civil Service Association and New York State and National Food Service Association.

She is survived by two children, Mary Alice (Robert) "Pancho" Forcelli, of Yonkers, and Richard F. Sielicki, of St. Augustine, Fla. two grandchildren, Kara Forcelli and Rob and his fiancee, Caitlin Maxwell; her great-granddaughter, Gianna Verrier; and her brother-in-law, Donald Blondin of West Keansburg N.J.

Her husband died on May 28, 1987. She was also predeceased by her sister, Alice Blondin; and two brothers. Raymond and Henry Carvalho.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 2-8 p.m. at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
