YONKERS, N.Y. – Carol A. Moran, a lifelong Yonkers resident, died Wednesday, May 25, at Montefiore Hospital in New Rochelle. She was 93.
Moran was born June 29, 1922, to Henry and Josephine Harney Twitchell. She graduated from Sacred Heart Grade School and Gorton High School.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Edward; a sister, Doris Carpenick; a brother, Harry Twitchell; and a daughter-in-law, Margaret Harney.
Moran is survived by her son, Edward Jr.; a daughter, Margaret of New York City; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
\Visiting hours was scheduled for Friday, May 27, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave., Yonkers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 28, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 110 Shonnard Place, Yonkers.
Interment will be private.
