YONKERS, N.Y. - Carmen Assumption Gonzalez, a longtime Yonkers resident, Monday, Dec. 2. She was 75.
Gonzalez was born April 10, 1938, and educated in Puerto Rico. She came to the U.S. in 1959 and worked as a supervisor for Westchester County Department of Parks and Recreation for over 20 years.
Gonzalez is survived by her children, Martina, Jose Manuel, Jose Antonio, Jose Enrique and Lourdes del Carmen; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are Thursday, Dec. 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Yonkers Funeral Service, 107 Yonkers Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at St. Peter's Church. Committal follows at Ferncliff Chapel-Hartsdale.
