Carmela Gibson, 76, Of Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Carmela Gibson, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died on Dec. 27. She was 76. 

She was born March 26, 1939 the daughter of the late Luigi & Vita Ventresca. Gibson graduated Commerce High School in 1957. On April 4, 1964 she married John W. Gibson, who predeceased her in November. Gibson was an Executive Assistant for Hudson Valley Bank for over 25 years, retiring in 2003. 

She was predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Louis, and Nicholas (Concetta). 

She is survived by her sons John of Poughquag, James of Yonkers and Peter (Rosa) of Staten Island; her friend Tanya Kukucka; sisters Anne Hatcher (the late Robert) of Cortlandt Manor and Yolanda Paolicelli of Gansevoort, N.Y.; her sister-in-law Pamela Ventresca; and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Eugene's Church in Yonkers with Interment to follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery in Ossining, N.Y. The family will be present from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at F. Ruggiero & Sons, Inc., 732 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers.
