Arlene Riddett O'Buck, 75, Lifelong Yonkers Resident, Research Scientist

YONKERS, N.Y. - Arlene “Ardie” Riddett O'Buck, 75, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died Sunday, March 1.

She was a research scientist for Ciba-Geigy Corp. She helped develop and test many pharmaceutical products, many of which remain on the market today.

O’Buck also played and coached softball, archery, fishing and golf.

In 1953, she was the National Marble Champion.

Survivors include three children, Henry O'Buck, Dale Foldi O'Buck and Daniel (Denise Forcelli) O'Buck; one sister, Renee Duffelmeyer; one brother, Robert Riddett; and three grandchildren.

Her husband, Henry O'Buck; and one brother, Alexander "Woodsie" Riddett, are deceased.

A prayer service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Yonkers Funeral Service, 107 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. Calling hours will be from 5-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
