Anton M. Comizio, 45, School Teacher With The Yonkers, NY School System

NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Anton M. Comizio of New Fairfield died Tuesday, Feb. 4. He was 45.

Comizio was born March 27, 1968, in Yonkers, N.Y.; son of Joseph R. and Angela (Garriola) Comizio of New Fairfield. A long-time resident of New Fairfield, he was a graduate of Western Connecticut State University and he received his Masters Degree in Education from Iona College, New Rochelle, N.Y.

He was employed as an elementary school teacher with the Yonkers school system for the past 15 years, most recently with PS 32. He was a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Comizio is survived by his parents; brothers, Joseph R. Comizio (Gordana) of Millbrook, N.Y., Ronald Comizio (Lisa) of Brookfield and Richard Comizio (Jhuma) of Greenwich; 10 nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles; and cousins.

Calling hours are Friday, Feb. 7 from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St.,  Danbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield. Burial will be in the Mountainview Cemetery, New Fairfield.
