Anthony R. Badia, 90, Of Yonkers, Machinist, Accessory Specialities Inc.

YONKERS, N.Y. - Anthony R. Badia, a longtime Yonkers resident, died Thursday, March 27. He was 90.

Badia was born June 15, 1923, to John and Giovannina Anzalone Badia in the Bronx where he was raised and educated. He was a machinist at Accessory Specialities Inc. in Yonkers from 1973 until his retirement in 2003. He served his in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a seaman and was stationed in Europe and Asia. He was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers.

Badia is survived by his son, John Della Badia (Rita) of Eastchester; daughters, Giovanna Badia of Seattle and Donna Lapera (Ron) of Delaware; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Agnes (nee Ucci); brother, Mario Della Badia; and sister, Gilda DeFede.

Calling hours are Friday, April 4 from 2 to 4 and 7 and 9 p.m. at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29 in St. John the Baptist Church. Interment will follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery.
