Anthony Maggiore, 59, Retired Police Officer, Yonkers Police Department

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. - Anthony Maggiore, a resident of Cortlandt Manor for 29 years, died Nov. 22. He was 59.

Maggiore was born Nov. 24, 1954, in Brooklyn, to Salvatore and Lenore (nee Auci) Maggiore. In 1977, he was a graduate of the 2nd paramedic training program out of Jacobi Hospital. He continued to work for EMS for 15 years. Later on he worked as a police officer for the Yonkers Police Department, retiring in 2008. He was a sergeant at arms for the Police Columbia Association of Westchester, and a member of the I.P.A.

Maggiore is survived by his wife, Corinne; sons, Salvatore (Melissa) Maggiore, Anthony Maggiore (Jill Eubanks), and Jesse and George Maggiore; two grandsons; and sisters, Connie Maggiore and Joann Wells. He was predeceased by his parents.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, Peekskill, where a service will be offered at 8 p.m. Interment will be private at the discretion of his family.
