Higgins was born Nov. 11, 1906, to Andrew and Bessie Sewek.
Higgins is survived by her sons, Thomas Higgins of Yonkers, Ret. YFD, and John (Fran) Higgins of Hampton Bays, N.Y. Ret. YFD; daughters, Joan (the late William, Ret. YFD) Siudym of Yonkers, Margaret (John) Farris of Bradenton, Fla., and Grace Marie (Michael, Ret. YFD) Obalde of Yonkers; daughter-in-law, June Higgins of Mt. Kisco; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard A. Higgins; son, Richard Higgins; brothers, John and Michael Sivik; and sisters, Catherine and Mary Sewek, Helen Juskewicz and Anastasia Jazwinski.
Calling hours are Friday, Oct. 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Flynn Memorial Home, on Central Park Ave., Friday, Oct. 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:35 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at St. Joseph's Church, Bronxville. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
