Yonkers Students Hospitalized After Being Sickened By Fumes

YONKERS – Two Yonkers schools have been evacuated and a number of students have been hospitalized after being overcome by fumes, News 12 Westchester reports.

Police say the Yonkers High School and Middle School were evacuated after dozens of students and teachers became suddenly sick. However, the injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to News 12.

Rumsey Road in Yonkers has been closed from Spruce Street and Hillcrest Avenue for emergency vehicles.

Students were transported to St. Joseph's and St. John’s hospitals.
