Yonkers Residents, Police Meet To Improve Relations

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers residents met with police Wednesday to improve relations and talk about ways to deescalate rapid moving confrontations, according to a report on News 12.

Yonkers Police Commissioner Charles Gardner was among the panelists at the meeting, which was held at the Riverfront Library. The YMCA of Yonkers arranged the meeting.

The meeting comes after deadly confrontations between police and citizens that drew national attention.
