Yonkers Residents Mourn Death Of Man Killed By DWI Suspect

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Friends and family gathered to mourn the loss of Sreeraj Chandran, a 19-year-old college student that was killed in a car accident that involved a DWI suspect on Sunday, Oct. 20, according to LoHud.com

Chandran was giving a ride home to a friend when his vehicle was struck by a car driven by Mario Garcia-Sura, 77, of Locust Hill Avenue, who is suspected of driving while intoxicated. Chandran had just received his driver's license on Friday, Oct. 18, according to LoHud.com.

Services for Chandran will likely be held at Sinatra Memorial Home, located at 601 Yonkers Avenue in Yonkers.
