Yonkers Residents Have Heat Restored After Two-Week Wait

YONKERS - Heat was restored Tuesday night to a Yonkers building that had been without it for nearly two weeks, according to a report on News 12.

The problem at 7383 Highland Ave. in Yonkers developed due to failed circulation pumps and no backup system, the report said. The building's landlord, Israel Roeceman, responded after pressure from city officials.

By state law, the inside temperature must be at least 68 degrees when the outside temperature dips below 55.
