Yonkers Police Save Children From Smoke-Filled Apartment

YONKERS, N.Y. – Two Yonkers police officers are being praised for pulling three children out of a smoke-filled McLean Avenue apartment on Wednesday, lohud.com reported.

After Officers Leslie Hand and Stuart Barksdale pulled the children out of the second-story apartment, they helped fire firefighters get seven children in the Wonder Years Family Daycare on the first floor out of the building at 87 McLean Ave, according to lohud.com.
