Yonkers Police Probe Possible 'Unauthorized Use' Of School Computers

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers police said Monday that they're investigating the possible "unauthorized use" of the city school district's computers and cable services, according to lohud.com.

Former Superintendent of Yonkers Schools Dr. Michael Yazurlo resigned just days before police announced an investigation of improper use of the district's cable and computers. Police will not say if the investigation and resignation may be linked.

News of the investigation comes just days after the city's Superintendent of Schools Michael Yazurlo, citing health reasons, resigned from his post.

According to lohud.com, police would not comment on whether the investigation and the resignation are linked.

Police provided the newspaper with few details of the investigation, but said it is "ongoing."
