Yonkers Parents Mourn Death Of Daughter Near Church Festival

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers residents held a candlelight vigil on Oct. 12 to mourn the death of 15-year-old Kalie Gill while praying for the life of her 12-year-old sister Lindsey, who is in a coma after both were hit by a car near a church fund-raiser on McLean Avenue in Yonkers on Oct. 11, according to LoHud.com

Yonkers Police have not yet pressed charges against Roseanne Piccirilli, 55, a sixth-grade teacher at St. Paul the Apostle School, who's SUV struck three occupied vehicles, two parked vehicles and four girls before stopping on McLean Avenue, according to LoHud.com. 

Lindsey remains in a medically induced coma suffering from head wounds, internal bleeding and multiple broken bones in her lower body. Two other 13-year-old girls were also treated for minor injuries, according to LoHud.com.

Piccirilli, who was volunteering at the church festival, did not return any media requests. A family member at her Yonkers home said she was too distraught to speak about the incident, according to LoHud.com.
