YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers is mourning the death of 52-year-old firefighter Jef Campion, who committed suicide last week, according to News 12.

Campion spent 40 days volunteering in New York City after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, according to the article. He reportedly struggled with physical and mental health issues after Sept. 11.
