Jennifer Berry, a 33-year-old Yonkers woman, who is facing charges of murder and manslaughter, said nothing in the Bronx court, News 12 said.

Berry has been charged with throwing the newborn out the 7th-floor window of her boyfriend’s 183rd Street apartment in the Bronx, according to media reports, including one in the Daily News.

The News reported that the boyfriend, Giovanni Johnson, 28, was questioned by police, but later released.

According to a report in the Journal News, Westchester officials are now -- in light of the Bronx tragedy -- taking another look at the 2008 death of Berry’s baby son in Yonkers.

The Journal News and News 12 both reported that the medical examiner had determined at that time that the death of the 2½-week-old boy was due to sudden infant death syndrome.
