At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, police were dispatched to a local hospital, where a victim reported that she had been sexually offended, Yonkers Police Sgt. Dean Politopoulos said. The woman told police that she was at a house party in the northwest section of the city to celebrate the holiday, where she was allegedly assaulted by 30-year-old Gustavo Bravo.

According to police, the subsequent investigation by detectives with the Major Case Squad and Crime Scene Unit established reasonable cause that a crime was committed and Bravo was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of sexual misconduct last week, on Thursday, March 30 and arraigned on Monday, April 3.

Bravo is due back in court on Tuesday, May 16. Politopoulos said that no further information will be released by police as the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office begins prosecuting the case.
